I just can’t get enough of this remix culture thang! Brain Pickings introduced me to this fascinating concept of creating new and different works of art by remixing someone else’s original work, and through the site’s archives I found another amazing article on this subject!

Rip: A Remix Manifesto is a documentary about remix culture, intellectual property and copyright. After all, someone DID create that concept you’re copying first, you just took their idea and ran with it — so how is copyright law involved?

Check out the piece Brain Pickings wrote on the documentary and on how it would have cost $4 million to make the doc had the filmmakers followed copyright procedure themselves!
