While previous posts on Drempt have been featuring final cut pro tips and tutorials on editing, I’d like to take a moment to feature some other interesting and creative topics.
Drempt loves all things creative, whether it’s art, design, video, or music – but preferably a mashup of all these fascinating things.
One of my favorite website to access things creative is Brain Pickings. I could spend days going through all of the articles on there!
Maria Popova, the brains behind the site, said it best, that
“creativity is merely the ability to combine all the existing pieces in our head — knowledge, memory, inspiration — into incredible new things.”
See: Remix Culture — Brain Pickings and Miss Popova introduced me to this amazing documentary on Remix Culture featuring creativity, intellectual property, and the inception of great works of art. It’s called “Walking on Eggshells: Borrowing Culture in the Remix Age” and it’s about how ideas can be recreated and renewed, remixed if you will, to can create something brand new, never before seen. It’s a great video by the folks over at Yale Law & Tech.
