In my previous post, I listed some genres and video styles where I could utilize and edit the stock-footage I have in different ways.  Some acquaintances of mine added to the list “Travel Channel-reality-tv-style opener” and “News show opener”.

Now, considering music and sound is half of your picture, I scoured the web looking for that perfect sound.  I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for, but I did find the Free Music Archive. They have a ton of songs separated into different genres and I stumbled upon a category called Old-Time/Historic.  It has a great jazzy/ragtime collection. Then it hit me! I can’t believe I didn’t think of this sooner!…

I could use this boogie-woogie, ragtime-y music with my modern footage and create a video with an old film look and feature another video genre!  Perfect! There’s this tutorial on Creative Cow that explains what to do perfectly!

Stephen Smith lent this tutorial on Creative Cow and included the project files and free plugin for the aged film look! I can’t wait to get to work! 😀
